‘Charlie & the C Monsters'

Together! 2012 CIC has produced ‘Charlie & the C Monsters’ to help to communicate more effectively about Coronavirus across language, literacy and impairment barriers. It is suitable for all ages and abilities, and is released under a Creative Commons licence. This means it is free for anyone to use and to reproduce, so long as it is not changed or sold commercially.
As Dr Ju Gosling, Artistic Director of Together! 2012, explains:
“It became apparent to us early on that basic information on how infection spreads and how it is stopped was missing from official communications, along with information in languages other than English. This meant that significant numbers of the audiences we work with (including those with special educational needs) had only a limited understanding of what they needed to do to prevent infection — particularly if they lacked broadband, which many do.”
