'Don't Smile Until Christmas'

I’ve seen some Facebook posts recently where people have advised to ‘not smile until Christmas’ with you new class. Personally, I wouldn’t take this advice. Smile from day one. Imagine being a child worried about meeting you new teacher and you go into your new class for the first time and that teacher doesn’t even crack a smile! Or the second, third, fourth time…
I’ve also put a few reasons together reminding us all why we should feel proud and privileged to teach and get to know the 30 individual personalities in our class each year.
Good luck for the new year everyone!
