The Perfect Time for Curriculum Reform from an SEMH Perspective

Exam pressure has escalated over the last few years. Most in education agree that we were in a ‘mental health crisis’ before Lockdown.

Lynn How from Positive Young Minds has seen an increase in SEMH issues with a large proportion being accredited to exams.

Now that exams are cancelled for this year, Lynn asks, is this not the time to change things?

Lynn has been teaching for 20 years during which time she has been an Assistant Head and a Lead Mentor at a Teacher Training institution. Currently, she is working as a SENCO. She loves to write, including research, children‘s poetry and she has an MA in Education, NASENCO and NPQH.
