Write about a magical place, draw Hogwarts and practise spell-casting with Evanna Lynch!
To celebrate Harry Potter Book Day on Thursday, the 12th of October, Bloomsbury has created a headline event hosted by Evanna Lynch (who played Luna Lovegood in the film series), in partnership with Twinkl and Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
This special virtual lesson is out now and can be watched, in full, on YouTube.
This spellbinding 35-minute video includes:
⚡Part 1 – Creative Writing Lesson: Unlock the secrets of creating a truly magical setting
⚡Part 2 – Hogwarts Draw-along: Learn how to draw Hogwarts with talented Harry Potter illustrator, Jonny Duddle
⚡Part 3 – Spell-casting Session: Master the art of incantations, learning how to cast your very own spells, including Wingardium Leviosa!
The event, and a bundle of supporting resources provided by Twinkl, have been made available ahead of Harry Potter Book Day to give you plenty of time to plan and make your celebration as magical as possible.
It is free for everyone – teachers, librarians, booksellers, parents and guardians – to watch and enjoy now, to introduce a whole new generation of young readers to J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter book series as part of the celebrations for Harry Potter Book Day!
