Gaining Students' Attention

Keeping children’s attention can be very challenging in a classroom environment. Not all children are wired the same and not all our curriculum objectives are very engaging. 90% of the information available to us was created in the past 2 years which is a mind-blowing fact! As Ben Parr states, the modern world is full of information and so for us teachers, our challenge is to make our information and learning, that we are presenting to our students, more important and more engaging than anything else. An impossible task you may think.

Eight Ideas from Eight Teachers is the latest publication from WAGOLL Teaching. There are so many great teachers out there, not just in the UK, sharing great content across social media for free. One of our founding beliefs is that, as teachers, we should be working together and supporting each other to be the best that we can be. We know it can be tough, we know we work long hours, but by sharing positivity and engaging, exciting teaching ideas, we can change education one step at a time! Social media, is a great resource to achieve this, however, it can be difficult to find content that is of high quality and centred around the children. This is why I have pulled together the best content out there into this e-magazine, to broadcast the amazing teachers out there that are making a huge difference to the day to day lives of their children. Enjoy reading! Featured articles: – Mic Drop Worthy Parent Meetings – Bringing Culture into the Classroom – STEM in EYFS And much much more…
