Ways To Celebrate The Olympics In The Classroom

With the Olympics just around the corner, it’s the perfect time for schools to get involved and celebrate! This year, the Olympics are set in Paris between the 26th of July and the 11th of August.

Celebrating the Olympics in the classroom can be the perfect way for children to learn more about heritage, culture and sport. It also teaches children the values of determination and perseverance and that not everyone can win, which is an important life lesson.

Recruitment agency, Spencer Clarke Group, have created a guide with 10 fun and informative Olympic themed classroom ideas and activities for schools to celebrate the global sporting event.

Here’s a sneak peek of a few ideas:

  • Share the history of the Olympic games.
  • Organise your own ‘Classroom Olympics.’
  • Create a flag quiz.
  • Write about your favourite Olympian.

Check out Spencer Clarke Group’s educational and fun guide and discover how to celebrate the Olympics in the classroom.
