As we enter this second phase of school closures we know from our community of teachers and leaders that providing online learning for primary aged children is incredibly difficult.
At Nexus we are committed to helping our teaching community. We are therefore delighted to announce that we have partnered with RocketLearn to offer our schools free online lessons and work for children in Years 3-8.
The people behind RocketLearn are ex-primary school Heads so they know the pressure you are under – therefore they have designed their offering so that teachers do not have to do anything except send the link to parents. None of the timely processes of gathering pupil data, signing up processes, consent forms, etc
To save even more time when signing up you will also receive a template letter/notice/tweet/FB post so you can quickly communicate the information to your parents.
The lessons and work have been designed to work with whatever you are offering at your own school – it is a suite of stand-alone lessons and work mapped to the UK curriculum. The topics have been carefully chosen so that they work as stand-alone lessons no matter what other activities the school may have on offer. Each day there will be a Maths and English lesson for different age groups (school years 3-8) and work they can complete online which will be automatically marked. Week One starting on Monday will be covering ‘Word Building’ in English and ‘Numbers: Place Value’ in Maths.
If you would like to benefit from this at NO COST, due to being part of the Nexus community, please sign up here.
We hope this will be useful for many of you. Please let us know if you need any support during this period.
Thank you to you and your staff for your continued hard work!
Best wishes,
– The Nexus Education Team
